Synopsis: In a Japan devastated by an apocalypse and dominated by vast sandy plains, a strange rust disease threatens the last remnants of civilization. Accused by the population of being responsible for the spread of this curse, Bisco Akaboshi is labeled as the "People-Eating Mushroom," but in reality, he is a defender of mushrooms in search of the mythical mushroom "Sabikui," the supposed cure for the disease. With his loyal companion, a huge crab named Akutagawa, and the generous doctor Milo Nekoyanagi, who fights to save his sister from the rust, Bisco embarks on a journey filled with challenges and prejudices, determined to restore the health of a decaying world.
